Barton - 20 Is Plenty Campaign

Neil and Paul

Barton Town Cllr's Neil Jacques & Paul Thornton delivering leaflets.

In response to concerns raised to North Lincolnshire Green Party by members of the public, the Green Party delivered copies of the North Lincolnshire Council postcard, "20 is plenty" to houses in the area at the top of Caistor Road in Barton.

The leaflet reminds drivers that in a residential area they should drive slowly and bear in mind that children and other vulnerable road users might be encountered.

Carol Thornton, Green Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidates for Cleethorpes in 2015, urged people to support the campaign by displaying the card in their front windows. 'Once drivers notice that many people support the campaign, they are more likely to change their driving behaviour,' she said.

If anyone in the area has been missed and would like to join the campaign by displaying a postcard, or if any further help is needed, North Lincolnshire Green Party can be contacted on greenpartynorthlincs@gmail.com or telephone 01652 634142.
