North Lincolnshire Green Party is striving to achieve real change for a fairer, brighter future.
The more members and supporters we have locally, the more campaigns and events we can run to get the message out that the Green Party is the most viable alternative to the current political establishment.
We need your help! The May local elections are now on the near horizon and there is so much help we need, whether for just a few hours or more. We have delivered three ward newsletters over the past 6 months which is getting us noticed and we are receiving some very positive responses from the public.
We had an excellent leaflet day on 11 March, getting over 1,200 newsletters delivered, with a sociable shared lunch in the middle of leaflet sessions.
The hard work has begun with canvassing now started. Even if it’s not your idea of fun, we try to look after everyone. We go out in pairs and nobody will be expected to door knock on their own, so if you fancy helping out by simply being the clip board holder, please get in touch.
There’s always room for more leafletters too which also has the advantage of freeing up more time for the canvassers. Remember, leafletting does not require you to speak to the residents, it is simply a matter of dropping the leaflet through the letterbox, and on to the next house on the list.
Over April we shall be planning more joint action days for both canvassing and leafletting as we deliver our election address and try to meet as many residents as possible with the canvassing team.
We have to deliver 5,600 main election leaflets A3 size, 1,700 addressed letters to postal voters, both to be delivered by 20 April, as well as 4,000 calling cards for canvassing. We have already delivered three Ward Newsletters since last October, but now is the intense "short" campaign leading up to 4 May. Any help you can offer will be VERY much appreciated!
